JBL Creature Speakers for My MacBook–Get Your Groove On

When I want to turn my MacBook into a rowdy stereo systemJbl_creatures_3 I plug in my set of white JBL "Creature"

speakers. I’ve had these a while now and really love them. Not only are they absolutely funky to look at, they can push some tunes. The big subwoofer creature features a big bass knob that lets you adjust base accordingly and has a wide audio range. The pair of small L/R creature speakers fill in the biggest tune gap. Volume is adjusted with a light tap of the finger on + and – tabs along the edge of the small Lefthand speaker. All come with a good 6 – 9 feet of cord so you don’t have to be sitting right on top of an electrical outlet.

I spent about $125 for the JBL Creature speakers, ordered through Apple’s online store and had it delivered to my door in about 3 days with free shipping for an order over a particular dollar amount. At the time I was living in the middle of Wisconsin and tripping out to the closest Apple store would have entailed at least a 2 hour drive.
